This little face is the second in the Series of a 'Baby with the Swaddle', Babyshka being the first.  As I was working on the sculpture, I wondered about the title, should I call it Babyshka 2?  That didn't feel right. Then I remembered that this wonderful tightly felted nephrite came from Wyoming, likely from an area that historically was Shoshoni tribal grounds. Why not find the word for Infant in the Shoshoni language. It is Ohnaa, and so I sculpted the face to have Native American features.
The swaddle was finished by Zoltan Papp of Artisan Restoration in a Borghese Antiquing process.
